Monica Frank is a classical pianist originally from the United States and currently based in London.  Since graduating with her master’s degree from New York City’s Manhattan School of Music, she has been mentored by Mike Garson, who was David Bowie’s pianist for many years. 

 

Monica has written arrangements of David Bowie’s music for solo piano, and has worked with Mike Garson on these compositions.  In 2019 she was invited by Mike Garson to perform as his guest at one of the London shows on his European Bowie tribute tour.

Monica's debut album The Stargazer Collection: A Bowie Tribute was released on 19th August 2021.  Mike Garson said of the album: "Monica has created some astounding piano versions of some of David's greatest songs.  She also performs them very well.  I'm sure if David was with us he would have liked them a lot."
